The Mission of Special Olympics Idaho is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition for persons eight years of age and older with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. To help every person with an intellectual disability discover his or her life’s potential, to bring them into the mainstream of community life and work through sports, is the goal of Special Olympics.
